Education Sub Committee
Purpose
The Education sub-ctte is a group of people interested in FOSS in education in any and all aspects. They have a wiki for sharing information that anyone can sign up for and participate in. If you have FOSS in your education institute (schools, unis, TAFEs), or you have training courses, online content, or anything else FOSS and education related, check out the website and help contribute to getting FOSS into education in Australia.

Next ACEC will be in Canberra in 2008, and 2010 will be in Melbourne. I believe Linux Australia should seriously consider putting these events on the radar - we should be actively engaging with the computers in education community.
Not only at this national conference every 2 years, but every year, in every state at the conferences of the teacher associations affiliated with ACCE and ISTE.
- Attending as delegates.
- Submitting papers and presenting.
- Having a presence at the associated trade show.
- Sponsoring speakers and keynotes.
- Sponsoring an associated "Open Source Forum / Panel"
- Sponsoring an OpenCD or LiveCD to go into every delegate bag
