This page lists the roles within the Press Team and what they will be responsible for:
LA spokesperson
- The public face of the press team. The spokesman job is to liase with the press team and the media to ensure that our message gets across.
Podcast master
- The Linux Australia Update and the LUG Roundups are produced by James and Karin Purser. Any new podcasts would be welcome, especially if they are focused on certain areas such as community building, education or userland experiences.
Website master
- The webmaster is going to be responsible for ensuring that the press.linux.org.au site is up and running at all times.
Press release organiser
- One organised person! The role of the Press Release Organiser is to ensure that Linux Australia press releases are
released in a timely manner to meet both the targets in the PressPlan and any events in the community that would require a statement from Linux Australia.
Liason with LCA team for related press
- The Press Plan revolves around two major events each year, the Software Freedom Day and the Linux Conference Australia. The LCA Liason role will work with the LCA committee to ensure that the best possible press coverage can be obtained for the LCA, both in local media and across the nation and world.
